Brian Hatfield – Owner

With his entrepreneurial instincts and experience, Brian started By Design Landscapes, Inc. in 2005. since then he has guided its successful growth in grounds maintenance, commercial and residential landscape and construction, snow removal services, irrigation, and residential and commercial design-build divisions. He attended Rutgers Cook College and holds several licenses and certifications. He is a member of organizations such as Community Associations Institute (CAI), New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association (NJLCA), New Jersey Nursery and Landscape Association (NJNLA) and Snow and Ice Management Association, Inc. (SIMA). After nine years of success, Brian continues to work hands on in the field. His business has grown to become one of New Jersey’s top full service landscape companies, with over 150 employees working throughout the state. He is also recognized for his continued support and service provided to Michael’s Feat, Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide (SPTS), National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Jason’s Dreams for Kids, United Way, Make A Wish Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. Brian was recently recognized as Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the American Cancer Society at its Tides of Change Gala on March 23rd, 2012.
